Hey guys, let me annoy you all with more fun Geology facts :D Did you know that in addition to the major tectonic plates there are also minor ones? There’s actually a great deal of them, I didn’t know this until now (I’ve only taken 2 Geology classes so far and neither went into great deal on Plate Tectonics). Anyway, these two are the most commonly shown minor plates, the Easter Plate and the Juan Fernandez plate. They’re both moving (spinning?) in a clockwise direction. (I know, the picture is all in French, it came from Wikipedia and was the best picture I could get)
